To make a sentence negative:

1. No + verb = don't do ….

No hablo = I don't speak

2. No + verb + second negative word

No tengo nada = I don't have anything (I don't have nothing)

3. Nunca, nadie, tampoco can be used at start of sentence

Nunca saco la basura = I never take out the trash

Nadie saca la basura = Nobody takes out the trash

Tampoco saco la basura = I don't take out the trash either
