adjectives must agree in GENDER (masculine, feminine) and NUMBER (singular, plural) with the nouns they modify

adjectives are given in the MASCULINE, SINGULAR form in dictionaries and your book

to make adjective agree with noun, change it to match noun

most adjectives come AFTER the noun in French

MASCULINE	-	s
FEMININE	e	es

Examples:

le livre bleu	masculine singular, no change
la gomme bleue	feminine singular, add e
les livres bleus	masculine plural, add s
les gommes bleues	feminine plural, add es

Exceptions:

adjectives ending in -e don't add e for feminie singular

adjectives ending in -s don't add s for masculne plural

blanc becomes blanche/blanches in feminine form

violet becomes violette/violettes in feminine form

orange, marron do not change in any form
