Parents At Gaiser Middle School

At Gaiser Middle School we feel strongly that teachers and parents are partners in the learning process with the student as the main focus. In keeping with this philosophy, we require both student and parent attend the student led parent conferences. We ask the student to bring the assignment notebook and school bag and to lead the conference by introducing the parents to the teachers. The student then gives his/her assessment of progress in each class both academically and behaviorally. Each teacher will agree or disagree with the student and discuss whatever differences exist.
Our goal is to make the student accountable and at the same time keep a positive and caring atmosphere during the conference. As a staff, we take pride in the positive outcomes of this process.

Conferences can be held at any time during the school year as teachers or parents request them.
We do set aside time in October and March for conferences.

March 20, 2008-- 4:00 - 8:00 pm
March 21, 2008 -- 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
