Tim Paterek

Tim Paterek has been teaching Middle School Technology Education with the Vancouver School District since the fall of 1992. At which time he signed on with the brand new staff at Alki Middle School. He taught modular Tech. Ed. at Alki Middle School for four years before moving on to Teach the same Tech. Ed. program at Gaiser Middle School.

Educational career: Tim Paterek received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - Stout in 1990. His major areas of study while attending school in Wisconsin were Elementary Education, Technology Education, and Biology. He graduated with a B+ GPA overall for his entire college career.

Industrial related career: For the fifteen year period of time before moving to Washington state, Tim Paterek manufactured his own line of custom built bicycle frames. During that time he also wrote a 450 page book on bicycle Framebuilding, designed and marketed a bicycle frame design computer program. Since coming to Washington, he has produced two instructional video tapes on Bicycle Frame building.

Hobbies and Interests: Tim Paterek has a wide range of interests including woodworking, metalworking, photography, camping, and bicycling.

Certification: Current teaching credentials in the state of Washington include Tech. Ed. grades 5-12, Biology grades 5-12, and Elementary Education grades k-8.
